Virtual Racing Starts January 19th
Tuesday, January 19 marked the start of our cross country Tuesday Night Race Series! 🙌
Here are some of the rules:
1. This race is ‘virtual‘ and so we are asking people to race solo. We recommend everyone follow all COVID-19 provincial rules and guidelines.
2. We will have public spreadsheets for racers to record their time. The spreadsheets can be accessed here:
7 Days to record solo time trial
IMPORTANT: DO NOT FORMAT OR FILTER THE SPREADSHEETS
Week 6 Race Details:
Adults 2 Laps
Kids 1 Lap
Week 6 Course – 2 Laps:
IF POSSIBLE, SKATE SKIERS SHOULD SWITCH TO CLASSIC FOR THIS WEEK
NOTE FOR WEEK 6: YELLOW JERSEY COMPETITORS WILL NEED TO REGISTER A SKATE TIME TOO
If you are going to race classic this week, you can add an entry at the bottom of the spreadsheet. We will not be including your classic race time in the yellow jersey competition. So, just to re-iterate: You can race both disciplines this week (if you are usually a skate skier, add your name again on a different row, at the bottom of the spreadsheet). Remember though, if you want to remain in the yellow jersey competition, you will have to register a skate time (just add this time where you usually do).
Week 6 – See this video for course details
ENTRIES WITHOUT A STRAVA/GARMIN URL ARE WELCOME.
YELLOW JERSEY COMPETITION REQUIRES A URL TO ENTER.
3. Every Tuesday morning the race starts. You have until midnight Monday to record your results (7 days).
4. To verify your results, we are asking that you share the link to your recorded race on a program such as Strava, Garmin. This URL will need to be put inside the spreadsheet to verify your race time.
Joining the Coast Outdoors Strava Club will allow you to sort out a live leaderboard on the TNR segments.
Very helpful: Join our Virtual TNR 2021 Season Facebook Page
We have a bunch of prizing and will reveal the winners on Wednesday every week. To be the first to know if you’ve won something, we recommend you check in the Virtual TNR 2021 Season Facebook Page or you join the racer newsletter at the bottom of this post.
RACE DEBRIEFS & PRIZING WILL BE PUBLISHED HERE:
