I really like the cut, fit, and functionality of this jacket. It's flattering, it has stretch for layering, and the zip pockets are perfect for hands and phones. I might need another layer in January, but for cooling off fall weather it's great.

It’s unfortunate that most of the colours offered for this jacket feature a contrasting patch pocket on the front. The R1 is a valuable basic piece; best to keep it simple and neutral so it goes with everything.

As I’m gearing up for fall and this fleece is a great addition to my Patagonia Puff Jacket and Rain Jacket. Or even to wear it on it’s on on the evenings when it gets a bit chillier.
I really like my jacket. I order a large because I like a looser fit. Works great.
