KV+ Storm poles are the proud successor to the popular Tornado Blue model, offering the same exceptional performance with a fresh new identity. These light, stiff and durable World Cup-level poles feature Falcon Clip grips, racing Elite Clip straps and small quick-change baskets.
KV+ Falcon Clip handles are designed so that the strap fixing point is located exactly in the centre of pole shaft, letting you push off the snow with maximum energy efficiency. The strap enters the grip at an angle, facilitating a quicker return of the pole to your palm after each push. KV+ signature quick-release mechanism is made of special kind of plastic infused with carbon fibres, ensuring ultimate reliability. The handles are covered with synthetic cork for maximum wear resistance.
All KV+ poles come with straps. The ergonomic design of Elite Clip straps gives you full control over the pole and provides ultimate energy transmission to the pole tip while you push. This cutting-edge clip system allows you to release the pole strap in a second—never struggle with hook and loop straps again. The design is ideal for skiathlon and biathlon races, as well as for streamlining water breaks as you train.
Quick-changing basket system allows you to install larger baskets or roller ski ferrules (sold separately) in a matter of seconds!
The Storm poles is the continued celebration of the beauty and power of Mother Nature, while maintaining the spirit of its predecessor.
Ski pole length can vary a little based on personal preference and skill/performance level. Better skiers will generally use slightly longer poles for better performance, whereas newer skiers will benefit from a shorter pole which is easier to use. For a quick way to find the size you need you can use one of the following calculations based on your height in centimeters. For skate ski poles you want them to be around 89% of your height, and classic poles around 83%. So a skate skier who is 180cm would use this calculation: 180 x 0.89 = 160.2. The closest stock length would be 160 cm. If you're between sizes, go for the shorter option for ease of use, or the longer option for better performance.
You can also use the table below to get a rough idea of the pole length you need. These pole lengths are rounded to the nearest 5cm increment:
| Height in Ft and In | Height in CM | Skate Pole | Classic Pole |
| 5' 0" | 152 | 135 cm | 125 cm |
| 5' 3" | 160 | 140 cm | 130 cm |
| 5' 6" | 167 | 150 cm | 140 cm |
| 5' 9" | 175 | 155 cm | 145 cm |
| 6' 0" | 183 | 165 cm | 155 cm |
| 6' 3" | 190 | 170 cm | 160 cm |
| 6' 6" | 198 | 175 cm | 165 cm |
