I rarely write reviews but ive been so impressed by my BC 6 boots, especially given how many successful innovations are in evidence i decided i had to plug this boot even though the BC6 seems to have been upgraded to BC X6. i should say i am a back country skier but i have not used these boots for downhill telemark skiing. i bought them because they had more toe (and bunion) room than the competition and at the time that was my primary concern, aging feet. ive now skied on them two winters. they have moulded nicely to my despite the obvious ridged plastic. but i have really come to appreciate the two other innovations here. First is the zip up collar which keeps snow, wet or 18 inch powder out of the boots so well ive given up using gaiters. Second is the stiff plastic strap on cradle giving excellent ankle support. I don't doubt they’d make great tele boots, but i haven't given them a hard test that way. Hope this was helpful.
